Institute of Hepatology, Coldharbour Lane

Proposals developed on behalf of the Foundation for Liver Research for a new facility that mainly comprises research laboratories with linked office space overlooking the atrium. The building program is arranged around the atrium with the bank of laboratory / office spaces to one side then associated service spaces to the other. Proposals were put together based on an in depth analysis of current facilities and the future aims for expansion.

The building utilises the glass atrium and full height windows to maximise daylingt into the laboratories and offices. The associated services are housed in a iconic block designed to give the building a distinctive presence. Light is allowed in to the services block through a tracery brickwork pattern.
